Barry Saide gave me HW! Hopefully, he will provide me great feedback and not just give me a check, check plus or check minus.  In addition it was assigned awhile ago, I still hope he accepts it as I have been trying to perfect the assignment.  I have started and edited several times.  Wait a second, that sounds eerily familiar to what should take place with learning. So this goes out to Barry as his enthusiasm for learning and student achievement is contagious and inspiring. I am glad to have met him at Edcamp and look forward to continued learning opportunities from him.

11 Random Facts about me:

1.  I was once on an episode of Blu's Clues.
2.  As a kid, I went to Bucky Dent's Baseball School and actually turned a 
     double play with Bucky Dent
3.  I coached softball at Ithaca College and Monmouth University
4.  I love the beach, but hate the sand! Ironic...
5.  My buddy owns a catering hall and I still chef parties for him. I have been in the   
     culinary field for most of my life.
6.  I do consulting, the most interesting place I have been to is Honduras. I worked
     worked with a bi-lingual school in San Pedro Sula.  It was a great experience. The 
     people I worked with were outstanding and have a genuine passion for teaching 
     and learning.
7.  I am completely outnumbered in my house. I have four daughters. Even my sheep 
     dog is female.
8.  In college, my first job was a delivery driver for a deli. However, I am 
     geographically challenged. I could get lost in a phone booth.  Every delivery I took 
     I had to stop and ask for directions. That's when I invented GPS. Not really, but 
     I remember saying, "they should have a device that tells you where everything is!" 
     I guess I should have followed up on that.
9.  I can't say the word peculiar.
10 I went to the 25th  anniversary of the 1978 Yankees championship. I met many of my
     baseball heroes like Goose Gossage, Craig Nettles, Reggie, Ron Guidry, Willie 
     Randolph, and more. I also met Artie Lang, then of Howard Stern fame.

11 Questions to Answer

1. What keeps you positive? 

Knowing that everyday I have the opportunity to make be a Merchant of Hope for students and staff.

2. What did you think when you heard Twinkies were gone forever?

My wife loves Twinkies, so I had to console her as she was sobbing uncontrollably! 

3. What makes someone easy to be around?

They are not wrapped too tight and can just be who they are.

4. Favorite movie line?

5. Best food to eat on the grill?

Scallops: marinated in a citrus lime garlic butter

6. If you could master one of the martial arts, which would it be and why?

I only know Karate and Tae Kwon Do: I'll choose Tae Kwon Do I have no good reason.

7. Favorite Star Wars movie quote?

Don't judge me, but I have never seen the Star Wars movies.  Never had interest, never will. People have tried forever, I just don't care for it.

8. Have you ever hit someone on purpose?

Yes. I have been in a scrap or two when I was a kid.

9. What scared you most?

Tie: My 12 year old had to have lymph nodes biopsied: Negative thank god. My little one had odd seizures when she was a baby. Turned out to be a rare non-damaging type, but until we found out it was frightening.

10. Favorite non-mainstream cartoon you liked as a kid?

Davy and Goliath

11. Do you ever wish you could still ride a big wheel and why?

Yes.  I would love to go down the hill where I group up and the crank the brake to do a giant skid out!
